| the heat itself actually ignites the fuel before the spark goes off... So, a copper plug will melt down fast compared to a platinum plug. I didn't mean that it would immune the car to detonation, I am just saying.. ie. If I get my Z tuned running 30psi of boost,100shot of direct n20 (900psi bottle pressure), and it is 75* out with 40% humidity... when I take it to the track the conditions will most likely not be the exact same... so it would cause a different tune.. I will be running dual widebands, dual EGTs, etc etc. It is just safer to run them if going all out for drag racing or similar because all it takes is a different situation for the engine to blow.. and I will have LOTS of money in my motor that I am building..
